Job hunting and relocating p.217/ #3 - Q.5a to h

Evaluating my results on my search performance I can say was not to bad. By utilizing a metasearch engine (momma.com) I was able to find almost everything that I was searching for.
In regards to finding employment I used the search engines 'advanced search' to narrow various links to my specific work criteria. I was able to also use the e-commerce directories (Craigslist, Indeed.com and dmoz.com) to find several openings in the area that I planned to relocate to.
Below is a list of Information Technology fields I researched that have openings available.

The salary portion was provided by PayScale.com, Floridajobs.com
The overall average wage nationwide is $28,000 (entry level/certified) to $100,000 (degree level).
At Yoh.com in a report issued in Feb. 2009, the average wage in the IT technology field went up since the first half of the year from $31.27 to $32.44 (per. hour). This equated to an increase of 1.07%.
This field is growing and the need is not just local, but nationwide. The continued demand for highly specialized technician will increase in the 21st. century. The markets are also increasing in demand as well.

In my search for The average temperature of the city I planned to relocate to I came up with several search engines, but decided on Infospace.com and RssWeather.com; a local weather feed. I learned that the average rainfall in Chicago is 34.28in. anually. The average snowfall is 38.0in. annually.

When searching for the best school districts I used the combination of Advance Searches. The webpage that gave me my results also allowed me to find available apartments and single family homes that met my financial criteria.
Yahoo.com/local/school district/residential/.htm. The site brought me to several listings of schools that were rated from one to five stars for their academic excellence and community participation.
The list ranged from elementary to college level institutions.
I then went and researched for an apartment at Ziprealty.com and learned that the average rental on a two bedroom apartment in the Chicago area ranges from: $750 to $860. Using the (Rent.com) webpage on the same metasearch engine to locate the average rental on a house is $1,500 to $3,000 monthly. I also checked the average sale on a residential home in the same community to be from: $190,000 for a 1 bedroom to over a million dollars for 4 bedrooms or more.
I also searched for the average cost of living in Chicago, Il. compared to West Palm Beach, Fl. and found that there is a 2%  difference with Chicago having the a higher cost of living than West P alm Bch.. The average wage in Illinois (chicago area) is $72,000 at the lowend to $103,000 annual wages. (PayScale.com).

I then researched the estimated cost to move from Florida to Illinois. I tried the same metasearch engine (momma.com) and was able to find several websites that provided price comparison with their competition. I wasn't able to get a solid price, but was able to request information and pricing qoutes from Alliedmovers.com - chicagomoving.com - paddedwagon.com/floridamovingcompany/html. I recieved a qoute from nobelvanlines.com. They said from $500 to $1000 depending on how many rooms and distance (2 bedrooms at $689.00 one way).

Advantage and Disadvantages of computers

Computers today provide a large array of text and communications advantages that allow the user to search for information that would otherwise not been available decades ago. Some of this information is useful, for example: a website that provides medical information such as 'WebMed' allows the user to learn about certain health isssues or conditions that may be helpful to the person viewing that site. Another advantage is the speed and reliability of computers. Their components are design to minimize the failure of the unit. The consistency of the computer allows the user to access and transmit information with a minimum amount of interference or delay. Unfortunately computers pose a several problems. A users privacy can be violated by hackers or criminals, who use the world wide web to access personal information. Identity theft has become a big concern for law enforcement and cyber detectives. Other disadvantages are health risk, labor issues, and environmental concerns. Users risk serious injuries and an addiction to computer usage. The workforce has suffered because computers literally are replacing humans and the skills that once was required to perform certain tasks. Computers also impose enviromental problems. The amount of toxic waste and depliation of natural resources are know a big issue with many societies, countries and governments. Nonetheless computers have made a great impact on the way humans now see the world around them.
